Our Mission
To meet the spritual and basic needs for families of all ages offering
assistant in education and training, employment and human assistant
(food, clothing and shelter) in transisting families toward self-sufficiency.
A Commitment of one (1) hour
per month can make a difference in the life of another.
Opportunities
Food Pantry Intakes
Responsible for completing forms necessary for service
Pantry hours: Mon 12.30-3.00pm & Tue-Fri 10.15-3.00pm
Food Pantry Order Filler
Responsible for completing food orders to serve families in need.
May also stock the pantry
as needed. (Requires some lifting and use of dolly)
Youth Program Tutor
Provide one-on-one guidance to youth to improve academic performance.
M-F 2.00-6.00pm
Adult Tutor
Provide one-on-one academic assistant to adults seeking G.E.D.
Certification. Day(s) and hours negotiated betweeen adult participant
and volunteer.
Youth or Adult Mentor
Provide guidance to persons participating in one of our self-sufficiency
programs. Day(s) and hours negotiated betweeen program participant
and volunteer.
Receptionist
Receptionist for managing the lobby area greeting customers, visitors
and answering multiple phone line system. Ability to multi-task
is must. Person must also be able to deal with a diverse.
Transportation Driver
Responsible for transporting senior to or from area meal sites.
Pick-ups begins 8.00am – Drop-off begins at approximately
12.30p.m. Monday – Friday. Weekend, afternoon and evening
opportunities also available. Valid Drivers license and good driving
history required.
Clerical
Assist with filing, data entry, and typing. Requires basic computer
knowledge.
