The Founder Project
In an effort to address the holistic needs of the under-served neighborhoods of Dayton, The Founders Project was established in 1997 as a collaborative effort of a number of religious congregations who have served the Dayton area for many years.

FOUNDERS FAMILY CENTER (FFC)
The first endeavor for the Founders Project is Founders Family Center, located on Fairport Avenue in the Wesleyan Hills neighborhood of Northwest Dayton.

FOUNDERS FAMILY CENTER MISSION STATEMENT
In order to enhance the well being and stability of both families and neighborhoods of Northwest Dayton, Founders Family Center pursues a two-fold goal of developing increased independence of individuals, and promoting and increasing a sense of inter independence within the neighborhood. Rooted in strong Christian values, staff, volunteers and members of the community unite all the Center in an effort to address mutual needs and concerns, while treasuring and respecting each individual and their life experiences.

TO ATTAIN ITS TWO-FOLD GOAL, FFC:

• Promotes and strengthens personal, spiritual, educational and technical resources of persons in Northwest Dayton who are experiencing barriers to self-sufficiency.
  
• Develops working relationship with social services agencies, government agencies, faith communities of all denominations, schools, business and neighborhood associations, in order to provide program opportunities for individuals and families in order to enhance self-sufficiency and neighborhood cohesion.
  
• Provides a meeting place for, and works with local community groups regarding their nighbourhood concerns.
  
• Identifies the gifts of individuals within the Northwest Dayton Community, and encourage individuals to use such gifts for others and for the well being of the community.
  
• Supports cooperation within the local community and other communities in the Greater Dayton Area.
